Understanding Our Non-Clinical Approach

Let's C.R.E.A.T.E. provides community-based creative wellness programming that complements — but does not replace — professional mental health care. This page explains what we offer, what we do not provide, and how to access clinical support when it is needed.

What We Provide

Our program offers community-based, wellness-informed creative activities and peer connection. Our programming is designed using principles from expressive arts, social-emotional learning, and trauma-informed youth development — not clinical mental health treatment.

Peer Support & Community

Safe spaces for connection, shared experiences, and mutual support among youth facing similar challenges

Creative Expression Outlets

Structured therapeutic art activities designed to help process emotions and build coping skills

Skill-Building Workshops

Educational programming focused on emotional regulation, stress management, and creative development

Wellness Tracking & Reflection

Tools to monitor mood, progress, and personal growth through journaling and check-ins

When to Seek Professional Clinical Care

If you or someone you know is experiencing any of the following, please contact a mental health professional or crisis service immediately:

  • Thoughts of self-harm or suicide
  • Severe depression lasting more than 2 weeks
  • Panic attacks or debilitating anxiety
  • Substance abuse or addiction
  • Trauma that interferes with daily functioning
  • Eating disorders or body image issues requiring medical attention
  • Psychotic symptoms or severe mood swings

How We Complement Professional Care

Let's C.R.E.A.T.E. works best alongside traditional mental health services, not as a replacement

Alongside Therapy

Our creative activities can reinforce therapeutic goals and provide additional emotional outlets between counseling sessions

Post-Treatment Support

After completing clinical treatment, our community offers ongoing wellness support and relapse prevention through creative engagement

Prevention & Early Intervention

For youth not currently in crisis but seeking emotional support, we provide preventive wellness practices that may reduce the need for clinical intervention

Holistic Wellness

We address social, creative, and community needs that clinical care may not cover, supporting whole-person wellbeing

Our Commitment to Your Safety

While we are not a clinical provider, participant safety is central to everything we do. Our staff and facilitators are trained to:

  • Recognize signs of crisis and connect participants to appropriate resources
  • Create trauma-informed, safe spaces for creative expression
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and privacy standards
  • Partner with licensed professionals when clinical needs arise
